Offered Class: Transitioning to RPG IV – 3 ½ days – On-site with hands-on laboratory exercises. This course is designed with the RPG/400 (RPG III) programmer(s) in mind. Requirements: A working knowledge of RPG is required. Overview Course focus is on the fundamentals of the RPG IV language. Topics covered include Changes to the RPG specifications, Discussions on ILE and RPG IV, RPG IV Conversion techniques, Expressions, the new Built in Functions (BIF’s), Multidimensional arrays, Subroutines vs. Sub-procedures, and many more RPG IV enhancements. Hands-on lab exercises are interspersed throughout the course to reinforce the concepts covered.
